Accidents/Illness:  

In case of accidents or illness at school, essential First Aid will be carried out by staff who have had First Aid training. In the event of a more serious accident/illness, we will contact you or your emergency contact person. If we are unable to contact anyone, we make the best possible decision on your behalf including calling an ambulance or transporting your child to the local medical centre.

A sick child should not be sent to school.

If a child falls ill at school, we will contact you or your emergency contact. It is expected that the child will be collected from school as soon as possible. It is school policy to contact parents/caregivers if a child bumps their head.

Please endeavour to administer any medication your child requires at home. However, if your child has any health issues/medication that needs to be administered at school, please ensure that the school is well informed in this regard. All medicines need to be clearly labelled and handed in at the Office. A designated staff member will administer and record the details.
