As you may have heard, primary school teachers have voted to accept the fourth offer made to them by the Ministry of Education. Thank you for your patience and support of our teachers as they undertook this collective industrial action.
Our Kids Online - Parent evening, 25th July 6.30pm - 8.30pm Aotea College Auditorium. This is such an important topic we have decided to team up with 2 other local schools, Pukerua Bay and Paremata, to share this message with our communities. As a community, we need to hear this message and respond together.
Rob's mantra - "We need to tackle this as a community so that all of our kids are safe. When you protect your kids online, you are also protecting mine and when I protect my kids online, I am also protecting yours." Please sign up now, so you don't miss out.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday, 11th June
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
John 6:51-58
This Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. We recognize that Christ left us the gift of himself in the Eucharist.
In today’s reading, Jesus is telling us about the special gift He gives us in the Eucharist of the bread and wine becoming His body and blood. When we share in the Eucharist, Jesus is present to us. We can reflect on this Gospel and think about how, in the making of a loaf of bread, the ingredients change their form. Like this during the Eucharist. the Holy Spirit transforms not only the bread and wine but also the people; we are the living Body of Christ.
Room 2 are scientists and we have been doing experiments in class. We are learning about what plants need to grow. This week we are testing salt water on plants – I don’t think they will like it. What do you think?
School photos - Wednesday, 21st June
Individual photographs are taken of ALL children on the day, HOWEVER there is no obligation to order either these or the class photos. There is also an option to have siblings photographed together - details of this will be on the reverse of the advice notice we will be sending home. Sibling/family photos will only be taken of the families who have signed the request form.
