Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
This newsletter is coming to you a day earlier, due to the school being closed for instruction on Thursday, 16th March due to the teacher strike. As all of our teaching staff are NZEI members and will be involved in organised strike activities, we are unable to offer supervision for the day. We are aware that this is inconvienient and thank you all for your support of this action. Please also note that there will be no After School Care avaliable tomorrow.
This term we are trialling a new way of sharing the Easter Liturgy with you. We will be celebrating our Parish/School Mass on Sunday, 2nd April at 9.30a.m. and all children will be involved. This will be followed by our traditional sausage sizzle and shared morning tea.
On Thursday, 6th April, we will also have Stations of the Cross at 10a.m. followed by our Hot Cross Bun Morning Tea at 11a.m. which you are all very welcome to attend.
This Friday is St. Patrick's Day and whilst we don't have any formal activities planned, the children are invited to wear something green with their uniform to celebrate his feast day.
Nga mihi,
Donna McDonald - Principal

Fourth Sunday of Lent
John 9:1-42
In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus heals the man born blind and reveals Himself to him as the Son of Man. In this reading, some could not believe that Jesus had healed the man and some thought Jesus was a sinner because He had performed a miracle on the Sabbath. Jesus met the blind man again and revealed Himself as the Son of God; the man became a believer and worshipped Him. In Baptism, Jesus reveals Himself to us. We are called to be like the man in this Sunday’s Gospel, accepting this gift from Jesus so that we may truly see Jesus as our Lord and worship Him.
2023 Senior Swimming Sports Results
Thank you so much to the parents who were able to help transport, marshall and cheer on the students at our Senior Swimming Sports on Friday. We were so impressed with how the children did their very best and cheered each other on. Their listening skills were outstanding, ensuring that we were able to run to time and have a free swim at the end.
