Kia ora St. Theresa's whanau,
It has been wonderful to see the sun again this week and the children have been enjoying getting to swim in the pool. It's a great idea if they have their swimming togs here everyday as the teachers will be taking every opportunity they can to use the pool.
As we are unable to have whanau attend our end of year celebrations, both of these will be videoed and the link will be sent to you.
Tuesday, 14th December 11am - 12.30p.m.: We will be having our prizegiving and Christmas play.
Wednesday, 15th December 11a.m. - 12.15p.m.: We will have our end of year Mass.
School will close at 12.30p.m. on Wednesday, 15th December.

The Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ the King
Room 8’s farewell gift to Mrs Cole:
Last Friday we had fun making Christmas angels with Ms Norris. We have been learning about God’s angels and Mrs Cole's sign name is Angel. Our angels were a farewell gift for Mrs Cole.
A farewell message from Mrs. Cole
To the St. Theresa’s School Community
Over the last ten years, I have had the privilege of being the DRS and a classroom teacher here at St Theresa’s. As this chapter closes I would like to say thank you to you all.
Thank you to my colleagues, my school family.
Like any family we have laughed and cried together. We have celebrated milestones and supported each other through the tougher times. I am richly blessed for having been part of the staff here. I will miss the laughs in the staffroom, the fun and the day to day conversations that have made you all important people in my life.
Thank you to the St. Theresa’s community.
I have loved working with you all and teaching your children. I have lots of lovely memories that I treasure and will take with me. Your generosity and support has been greatly appreciated.
And finally thank you to the wonderful Room 4 children and their families.
I have had such a fabulous year with these lovely children. They were a delight to teach and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of their learning journeys. They are little treasures.
Take care and know that I will carry you all in my heart and keep you all in my prayers.
God bless,
Angela Cole
Graduation celebration for Livvy McKennie
Congratulations once again to Livvy McKennie on her graduation. The staff celebrated this amazing achievement on Friday afternoon.
Congratulations Patrick, Kira, Aden and Piata for taking part in the EPro8 challenge. Fifth place overall. Fantastic mahi!
We expect after this year that we are all looking forward to some great summer gatherings and to go with that, some great wine, by trusted brand Sileni. If you ordered any last year, you will know what an enjoyable drop it is.
An order form is attached. If you would like one in hard copy form, please let Gina know and she will send one home for you. Please share with friends, family and colleagues so they can benefit too. Wine Order Form 2021.pdf
Orders need to be in by Thursday, 2nd December and delivery will be the following week – the week before school closes.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society has generously offered to provide a Christmas hamper to any of our school families who feel they would like to avail themselves of this opportunity. If you are interested, please email Donna directly (donna@stp.school.nz), by no later than tomorrow, Friday 19th November. Hampers will be delivered directly to each family by the St VdP volunteers.
Snorkelling experience for our Year 5 and 6s
Thank you Mountains to Sea for teaching Room 9 and 10 how to snorkel. What a fabulous experience for our tamariki. Next week they will be trying it out in the moana. I wonder what they will see?
Pool keys for sale for summer!
Our School pool will be available for use from the beginning of December for the summer season (December - March). Keys can be purchased at a cost of $100 per key. The Terms and Conditions are attached as well as a Key Allocation form. If you would like to buy one, please read through the T & Cs and complete the Key Allocation form and return to school, either in hardcopy form or emailed to the Office. When we receive the completed form and payment has been made, Gina will allocate a key and send it home with your child. The last day for buying a key is Friday, 10th December.
Please make sure you read about the pool availability during term time and when Mass is on over the weekend.

St. T's After School Care is up and running - come check it out!
You will be aware that the St Theresa's After School Care programme is now under the management of the Board of Trustees. There are very few noticeable changes and we would like to reassure you that the programme is continuing to be run to the very high standards we have become used to and without any staff changes, this provides continuity and stability.
We have kept the fee structure the same as before, $20.00 per day with a 10% discount for siblings. However, there will be no fee for sickness. Children can be booked in full time, on selected days or on a casual basis as well.
Enrolment forms are available from both the School Office or Keller in the hall.
The booking facility is on our website.
