Mai i te Kopae ki te Urupa, tatou ako tonu ai - From the cradle to the grave, we are forever learning.
Kia ora St. Theresa's whanau,
We have had our first full week of school at Delta Level 2 and everyone has settled back in so well. Thank you for supporting our Level 2 protocols and making this transition so seamless.
This week is Maori Language Week and we joined with the whole country on Tuesday at 12p.m. to be a part of the Maori Language Moment. Our photo should be up on their wall, at this link https://www.tetaurawhiri.govt.nz/en/te-reo-maori/press-releases/maori-language-moment-2021/
Kia kaha te reo Māori
‘Kia kaha’ is well understood in New Zealand English with its meaning of ‘be strong’. We often talk about languages as if they are people – talking about language health, strength and revitalisation. So when we say ‘Kia kaha te reo Māori’ we’re saying - ‘Let’s make the Māori language strong'.
The children are still practising hard for our production which has been moved to 18, 19 and 20 September. Tickets and orders for the Vimeo can be purchased from Gina in the office - please read the notice about this further down in the newsletter. The production is dependent on us being at Level 1, so we are watching carefully for any level changes and will update you all as soon as we hear.
Have a wonderful weekend, take care and be safe.
Kia pai tō rā whakatā!

St. T's After School Care is up and running - come check it out!
You will be aware that the St Theresa's After School Care programme is now under the management of the Board of Trustees. There are very few noticeable changes and we would like to reassure you that the programme is continuing to be run to the very high standards we have become used to and without any staff changes, this provides continuity and stability.
We have kept the fee structure the same as before, $20.00 per day with a 10% discount for siblings. However, there will be no fee for sickness. Children can be booked in full time, on selected days or on a casual basis as well.
Enrolment forms are available from both the School Office or Natalie in the hall.
The booking facility is on our website.
