PINK SHIRT DAY TOMORROW for a GOLD COIN!
Wear something pink with your school uniform tomorrow (Friday, 21st May) and bring along your gold coin donation.
By celebrating Pink Shirt Day and raising money to support the kaupapa, our school is a part of a powerful movement to spread aroha and kindness and end bullying. Every dollar we get helps the Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness about bullying prevention which will make all our schools safe and inclusive for everyone.

This term we have been learning about Gavin Bishop and Hundertwasser. We have been looking at their style and what they use. Hundertwasser uses complementary colours, analogous colours and hot and cold colours. He also has some weird things in his pictures like lollipop trees, teardrops, hidden faces and contour lines. Gavin Bishop uses ink, watercolour and wash colours. He also has lots of eyes and lots of detail. Because we have been researching Gavin Bishop and he uses watercolours, we made some water colour pictures.
On Tuesday some Aotea college students came to teach us a game called ki o'rahi. It was so much fun and we got to have team names - 'The Chicken Nuggets' vs 'The Pumpkins'.

This term we have been learning about the artist/illustrator GAVIN BISHOP. We made watercolour pictures based on his style. We have also been doing drama and GAVIN BISHOP aka Mrs Beales visited our class! We have been commissioned as illustrators to illustrate a book about Children’s Rights.
4 students from Aotea college taught us a game called ki o'rahi on Tuesday. They were really good at explaining the game! It was so much fun.
