Mai i te Kopae ki te Urupa, tatou ako tonu ai - From the cradle to the grave, we are forever learning.
Kia ora koutou katoa St Theresa's whanau,
Thank you everyone for all your support and involvement across the School. We have been blessed with a very settled term and are looking forward to a break to refresh and energise for another packed term.
In Term 2, we will be trialling a new programme called Lexia which is a Literacy Support programme. All children will be given a log in and will be participating in this trial. The trial is researched-based and used globally and we have a free trial of this for Term 2. Please support your children to take a bit of time over the holiday break to log in and complete some of the activities.
Yesterday Jo Beasley took a small group of students up to Te Ngakau Tapu Tuhono Marae, as part of the Kahui Ako Cultural connectiveness workstream. This is a great opportunity for our children to connect with Te Ao Maori and contribute to their leadership. Thanks to Ainslie and Christine Allen and Kiri Croasdale for helping with support and transport.
Have a wonderful holiday break, stay safe and well and see you all next term.
Donna McDonald - Principal
Join us in congratulating Ethan and Amelia Ho
On Saturday, 17th April, Ethan and Amelia will be baptised here at St. Theresa's Church. On behalf of our whole School community, we congratulate them on this step of their faith journey. Please keep them and their family in your prayers.
ANZAC DAY PARADE - SUNDAY, 25th April (not Monday!)
In our class this week, we have created our songs for the song weaver. Each of our songs is unique and special. The song weaver came and used our song catchers to catch everyone’s song and weave it into a korowai to cover the earth with aroha.
In Maths, we have been making tens, in different ways.
We also talked about three things that we know about Jesus. We came up with lots of ideas. We are looking forward to seeing you at Assembly.
Reporters: Ellie, Olive, Indie, Alex and Oliver
Room 2 and 3 talked about ANZAC Day and how we remember the soldiers who went away to try and bring peace to the world.
Our Mother's Day High Tea is going to be awesome - you should definitely be there!
Make this Mother’s Day a special one with a High Tea here at school! The Milestone Homes High Tea is an opportunity for our children and the significant females in their lives to come together and enjoy each other’s company.
This not-to-be-missed event will be held on Saturday, 8th May at 3pm in St Theresa’s Church Hall. High Tea will be served and we will have a guest speaker.
Tickets are $20 per person (non-refundable) and can be reserved by depositing the total amount to: St Theresa’s Catholic School Plimmerton 12-3254-0109325-000 with your child’s name and “High Tea” as the reference. Tickets can then be collected from the school office in the first week of Term 2.
There are limited tickets available so get in quickly!
