Kia ora koutou katoa St Theresa's whanau,
What an exciting week this has been. We started with a lovely Parish/School Mass on Sunday which was very well received and are finishing with a win for NZ in the America's Cup on St. Patrick's Day which was a real bonus.
It was so cool to see the pops of green throughout the school yesterday, remembering St. Patrick!
Thank you to Vinny Thompson, one of our multi talented staff members, for painting a beautiful triptych, incorporating our Maori, Pasific and Catholic cultures and our thanks also to Mike Montgomery for hanging these for us.
Another big thank you goes to Fantail Services Ltd. for the very generous use of their community van to help transport some of the children to swimming sports last week.
Have a wonderful weekend.

This week we welcome Adam Abraham to Room 3. He is the brother of Aden in Room 10 and the son of Anoop and Nerin. We're so glad to have you join our school community, Adam!

Abstract Self-Portraits
A few weeks ago, we joined with Room 1 and had fun drawing ourselves using abstract art. We used different colours for different parts of our face. Some of us used crayon and some used pastels.

Caritas Challenge for 2021 'Move It' to be run by our Year 6 students
This year our Year 6 Caritas Challenge leaders are planning a 'Move It' challenge for buddy classes to participate in TOMORROW.
The 'Move It' challenge focusses on understanding how lack of access contributes to poverty. It highlights the plight of people who have to travel long distances to access basic needs like water, food, safety, health and education.
The children are being asked to experience what travelling long distances to access basic necessities feels like. We ask that you support us by sponsoring your child for the number of laps completed, distance travelled, games played or contributing a donation. The money raised will support Caritas in the work that they do both in the Pacific and worldwide.
Pool key holders - make the most of the pool!
By the end of this month, all pool keys need to be returned to the Office. If you have misplaced your key, payment of $25 is required to have new keys cut.
