Kia ora koutou katoa St Theresa's whanau,
What an amazing 6 weeks of swimming we have had this term. We have been really fortunate to have the EasySwim School team working with our children and teachers both at school and at our beach trip day. It has been great to see the improvement in skills, confidence and ability in so many of our children over this term.
It was wonderful to see so many of you cheering all of the children on at our Kakano swimming demonstration on Tuesday.
Tomorrow we have Pihinga and Pohutakawa swimming sports at Cannons Creek and it great to see the children challenging themselves and signing up for a number of events. Thank you also to those of you who have offered support with transport, marshalling, recording, etc.
Our Parents & Friends group has started getting organised with activities planned for 2021. Friday Pizza lunches are happening and are a hit with everybody. We are having a meeting tomorrow (Friday), in the staffroom at 2pm for anyone who is interested in being a part of this great group and to continue the plans for 2021. Everyone is welcome to attend.
This Sunday is our first Parish/School Mass for the year and of course we celebrate the installation of Fr. Andrew. We are looking forward to seeing you all at Mass and for morning tea afterwards.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Caritas Challenge for 2021 'Move It' to be run by our Year 6 students
This year our Year 6 Caritas Challenge leaders are planning a 'Move It' challenge for buddy classes to participate in on Friday, 19th March.
The 'Move It' challenge focuses on understanding how lack of access contributes to poverty. It highlights the plight of people who have to travel long distances to access basic needs like water, food, safety, health and education.
The children are being asked to experience what travelling long distances to access basic necessities feels like. We ask that you support us by sponsoring your child for the number of laps completed, distance travelled, games played or contributing a donation. The money raised will support Caritas in the work that they do both in the Pacific and worldwide.
Whole School/Parish Mass - Sunday, 14th March at 9.30a.m.
This will be a very special celebration as Fr. Andrew will be installed as our new Parish Priest as well!
Children need to arrive by 9.15a.m., wearing their school uniform.
There will be a shared morning tea so if you are staying, please bring a plate. The Parish and School will provide a sausage sizzle.
Year 5 & 6 Netball - We need more players (boys and girls), please!!!
We urgently need 3 more players . This allows us to enter 3 small teams rather than 2 large teams which in turn gives all players more court time. We also require two more coaches. Teams cannot be registered until this is sorted. The gauge of interest form is on our website under What's on Top/School Notices.
Please contact Trish Fitzsimons on trish@stp.school.nz if you have any other questions.
We have finally got the artwork up on the Play Pod. Thank you to all the children who designed the artwork - some are ex students. It looks amazing!
Pizza Fridays for Term 1 - everything you need to know.
We're taking the stress out of making lunches on a Friday!

- We can't hold paid orders over if your child is absent on the day as we will already have placed our pizza order the previous evening.
