Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
What a great day we had last Friday at our annual Beach Day. The children enjoyed the opportunity to swim, build sandcastles, explore and relax in our local environment. Thanks to all the adults who braved the water to help support the children with the water safety programme and to EasySwim Swim School for co-ordinating the programme. A big thank you to those people who walked to and from the beach with us - we can't have these types of events without your support.
Kelly Club has settled in as our Before and After School Care provider and they are enjoying looking after the St. Theresa's children. Just a reminder that Before School Care is avaliable from 7a.m. and can be booked in via the link in this newsletter or on the website. They are currently trialling mornings and will only continue if there is a need, so please let them know if you think you might be interested.
Our Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday, 29th February and Wednesday, 6th March. Please lock in a time to meet your child's teacher as this is a valuable opportunity to share important information with teachers and ask any questions you might have.
The planning for our March Madness Fair on 16th March is on full speed. Please take time to read the comms in the newsletter and emails. We need everyone onboard to support this great fundraising community event. Thank you to all those people who have already signed up to help out with some aspect of the day.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday, 25th February, 2024
Second Sunday of Lent
Mark 9:2-10
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus is transfigured in the presence of Peter, James and John. In Jesus’ Transfiguration, we see God’s affirmation of Jesus and an affirmation of our faith that Jesus is God’s own Son. During Lent, we look to make changes in our lives for the better but we can also look to affirm and continue the positive things that we already do. We can also be open to what God will affirm for us in our lives.
Welcome to our new students in Week 3
Mani Cooling, daughter of Charlie and Baylee;
Alexander Lemmon, brother of Dian in Room 7 and their parents Dean and Amanda-Lee.
As always, we wish you both many happy and memorable years here at St. T's!
In Room 2 we are learning about measurement with Ms. Neave. We made worms from play dough and used special maths measurement words to describe them. It was FUN!
Stations of the Cross - 8th March - 7p.m.
It is our School's opportunity to lead the Stations of the Cross in the Church on Friday, 8th March at 7 p.m. It lasts for about half an hour. This is a very meaningful and moving way to remember the Passion of Christ. Please join us.
Does anyone have a Two Wheeler Balance Bike similar to this, gathering dust in the garage? We are after one of these for school.
Please contact deborah@stp.school.nz if you have one that we can take off your hands. Thank you in anticipation!
Parent/Teacher Interviews - book your appointment now!
These interviews take place on Thursday, 29th February and Wednesday, 6th March starting at 3p.m. and run for 15 minutes. To book your appointment, please go to schoolinterviews.co.nz and use the event code 9k6m3 (case sensitive) to book your slot. It is an expectation that all families book an appointment to meet with their child's teacher.

Pizza Fridays for Term 1, 2024
There will be a total of 7 Fridays that pizza will be available for you to order. They are:
Weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Week 8 is Good Friday and there is no school.
To order pizza and/or ice blocks for your child, please follow ONE of the two processes below:
1. ORDERS FOR THE TERM: Pizza will be available for 7 WEEKS this term. So if ordering for the term, just multiply by 7. If you decide part way through the term, then calculate how many Fridays are left. Send an email to the team, outlining the following information for each child you are ordering for BUT in one email is fine.
Child’s Name:
Room No.:
Number of pizza slices - please specify if gluten free
Number of ice blocks
Cost: $1.50 per pizza slice and $1 per ice block
Multiply the order total by the number of Fridays.
2. WEEKLY ORDERS: These need to be sent to the same email address, with the same order details as in Option 1 and also paid into the same bank account number.
VERY IMPORTANT: The deadline for weekly orders is at 3p.m. on a Thursday. Unfortunately, no late orders can be accepted.
If you would like to pay in advance for a set number of weeks but not all
the weeks in this particular term, please feel free to email these details to
the team.
If your child is new to our school and only starts part way through the term,
simply adjust the number of weeks for the remainder of the term.
kaiorders@stp.school.nz
Payment by internet banking only to 12 3254 0109325 00 using the
