Uniform update for 2023. Next year we will be introducing a skirt and blouse option for our Year 5 and 6 girls. These will be available to order from Chapman Uniforms and can be worn in Terms 2 and 3. There is also an option of removing the bib part of the tunic and making this into a skirt. This can also be done by Bernadette at Chapman Uniforms. More details of costs, etc. will be available as soon as possible.
This term we have had our fair share of challenges and as usual we have dug deep and made it through with a smile. Thank you to the whole community for supporting us in so many ways. We are looking forward to having Pauline MacLean, Deborah Norris and Shona Hockings back onboard next term and of course hoping for warmer days and no more bugs!
Wishing you all a happy break and an opportunity to take things at a slower pace before the busyness of Term 4 comes. Travel safely if you are going away.
Nga mihi,
Donna McDonald - Principal

Board Talk from our Presiding Member, Mike Tohill
We had our first Board of Trustees meeting since the Board election’s recently. Welcome to the Board to Anastasia Bennett and Arnie Pham. I also want to say farewell to Pauline MacLean who has been an integral member of the board for the last three years. Thank you for your input to the Board; your knowledge, experience and wisdom have been greatly appreciated.
The main discussion of the meeting was around the refresh of the three year Strategic Plan. This is progressing well. We intend to consult with the community on this in the next term. We want to get your thoughts on what is working well, what you would like to see more of and anything you may not like. The intention is that we will do this by way of a survey and also have a face to face session. Dates are to be confirmed and there will be more communication on this next term.
We also discussed the structure of the Board of Trustees. We are looking at changing the constitution for the Board in relation to a minor change in the structure of the Board. We are consulting with the Proprietor and will look to make a decision on this at our next Board meeting.
This year has been a difficult year in terms of the ongoing impacts of Covid and other illnesses. I want to thank the teachers, support staff and Donna for their ongoing commitment to our children and whanau through some difficult times. What I see is that even though there have been a lot of challenges to deal with, the children are happy and thriving at school. That is testament to the great job you do. Thank you.
Stay safe through the upcoming school holidays and I look forward to Term 4.
Nga mihi
Mike Tohill - Presiding Member, Board of Trustees
Today we celebrated the baptism of Edi Simonlehner, Fergus and Amelie Gear and Juliet Hall. It was wonderful to be able to welcome them into God's family, as a whole school. This will be a special memory for us all. Congratulations to these children, their families and sponsors.
This morning, I went to the Church. Fr. Andrew poured holy water on my head. He welcomed me and baptised me. It was very special in my heart. Mummy, Papa, Janine, Peter, Aunty Sue and the whole school came to the Church to celebrate me. My heart was blessed with people's love.

Plimmerton Village Spring Clean
On Sunday 6th November, Plimmerton and Camborne will be holding our annual Village Spring Clean. This is held with the support of PCC and the Plimmerton Volunteer Fire Brigade. We set up our base next to the Menz Shed at Plimmerton Domain. From there we send out our volunteers equipped with council rubbish bags, safety gloves and a designated clean up route in groups of between 2 and 6 people. We start at 9:30 and are all done well before 12 noon. The rubbish bags are tied at the top and left beside a council rubbish bin ready for the collection truck to swing by later on that day. Benefits for young ones as well as others is a trip to and or from their assigned collection route in the Fire Truck and a sausage sizzle back at Plimmerton Domain starting at around 10am. Each team’s route will last no longer than 45 minutes and groups will be assigned their routes starting no later than 11:15am.
