Gospel reading for Sunday, 20th February, 2022
Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
Luke 6:27-38
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells of the many opportunities that we have to make good moral choices. Sometimes these choices can be challenging. When making these decisions, we are provided with the opportunity to act in a way that will be loving towards others. We are also reminded that God always forgives us and will always give us a new chance to follow His ways. We are called to reflect on this and we are challenged to always try and make a choice that shows love and to offer unlimited chances to others, just as God offers them to us.

Updated contact details forms - please!
There are still lots of forms that haven't been checked and returned. Please complete yours if you haven't already done so. In light of our reunificaiton drill and the threat of Omicron and possible school closure, it is even more important that we have all the forms back so our records are up to date. These forms were handed out on the first day of school and were due back this past Monday. Thank you so much to all the families who have reviewed their details and returned their forms.
Parents & Friends - Pizza Fridays
Easter Raffle Mufti/Non-uniform Day
We are holding a mufti/non-uniform day in aid of the St Theresa’s Catholic school Easter Raffle. On Friday, 4th March, children can wear mufti/non uniform in exchange for an item for the Easter hampers. In addition to Easter-themed confectionery items, some great ideas include Easter decorations, bottles of wine, non-perishable nibbles, gift cards – anything you think would be welcomed for an Easter celebration. There will be boxes in each classroom where children can place their Easter item.
Next week we will send home ten raffle tickets to each family to sell on to friends and family. We have plenty of spares available should you need more and you have until 14th April to sell your tickets.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support our School and all money raised will go towards the new goal posts on the field.
Thank you all in advance, for your support.
Parent/Teacher interviews - via Zoom
Just a heads up that these will take place on Tuesday, 1st March and Wednesday, 2nd March via Zoom. Your child's classroom teacher will give you more details about this (website and code) and we will advertise again in next week's newsletter.
Emergency Reunification Drill - Thursday, 3rd March - 2p.m.
Emergency Reunification Drill
As part of our school emergency plan, we need to hold a whole school Evacuation and Reunification Drill. This will be held on Thursday, 3rd March. Your child needs to be collected from Mo Street, Plimmerton Heights, at 2.15 pm.
Three things you need to do:
Ø Update your emergency contact details ASAP.
Ø Collect your child/ren from Mo Street on the day of the drill at 2.15 pm. Collection point will be outside the row of containers on the left.
Ø Organise your emergency contact person to collect your child/children if you are unable to do so.
If your child needs to catch the bus on that day or is attending our After School Care Programme, they will return to school with a teacher in time.
Please note: Your child will only be released to adults listed on your emergency contact list.
Thank you so much for collecting the Yummy stickers and sending them along to school. St Theresa's has just received 9 new balls, a ball bag and some whistles. Please keep collecting the stickers. You can find the template at the bottom of the school newsletter.
