Mai i te Kopae ki te Urupa, tatou ako tonu ai - From the cradle to the grave, we are forever learning.
Kia ora katou katoa ki te kura katorika O Hato Tereehia Whanau,
Thank you for your continued support through Alert Level 2. We have been fortunate that moving into Level 2 has been seamless and we have seen very little disruption to our day-to-day activities. The staff and children have continued to be vigilant with hand washing and cleaning surfaces and we continue to use Zoono and hand sanitiser on a daily bases. Thank you for keeping your children home when they are unwell and the messages of support our staff have received when they have been unwell.
The Prime Minister has confirmed that we will remain in Level 2 until 7th September. This means that our school Alert Level 2 procedures will continue as we follow guidelines directed by the Ministry of Health. We are limiting the number of additional adults and visitors to the school during this time.
In the morning, children will continue to be dropped off at the school gate. The exception to this is children who are in their first week of school, especially if you feel that they need you to bring them to the classroom as they settle at school and get to know the morning routines.
In the afternoon, all children are being picked up from one of the 3 school gates. Teachers will continue to bring the children to the gate unless they have an older sibling who will pick up their younger siblings and take them to one meeting point. Adults are welcome to come into the school grounds and meet their children if they prefer. They can also stay to play on the playground with a supervising adult, however we ask that you sign in with one of the the QR codes that are displayed in the foyer and on the door at the Church end of the school.
Room 9 and 10 had a little bit of a refurb over the weekend and are looking very fresh and bright. Thank you to Juan McDonald at Commercial Plastering Ltd for donating their manpower and to Joe Southon at Timms Flooring Center Ltd for donating the Autex we used.
Just a reminder - we are having our Dramatic Inquiry information evening tonight starting at 5pm. This will be a fun and very informative session and we look forward to seeing you all there. Preschoolers are very welcome.
Have a great weekend.
Arohanui

Dramatic Inquiry Parent Evening - TONIGHT at 5p.m. in the Hall
You are invited to join us tonight to learn about our school journey into Dramatic Inquiry. Dramatic Inquiry is an umbrella term for inquiry learning, where drama is used to step in and out of imagined worlds. At St. Theresa’s we have been exploring 3 approaches in particular. Child-structured dramatic play, Process drama and Mantle of the Expert. These all fit perfectly with our learning through play philosophy. Come and join us at 5pm for a hands-on, fun and informative session in the Parish Hall.
Our next date for fittings on site is Friday, 4th September from 2p.m. onwards.
Please call the School Office to book an appointment. If you already know the size of what you need/want, you can contact our supplier (Bernadette) directly on 972-0682 or email your order to b.chapman093@gmail.com.

Player of the Day: Ella Seque
The focus was on catching the ball cleanly in their hands and passing a hard, fast, straight pass to the next player. Well done, everyone!
